This morning saw Naas travel to Athgarvan GAA & LFGA to face off against the newly formed U12 South Kildare Shamrocks team comprising Athgarvan, Kilcullen and Two Mile House. Anyone following the Shamrocks this year will have seen the U13 and U14 in action. Today, it was the turn of the U12s and they didn't disappoint.
The game was played under the morning sunshine and what a game it was. At the end of the first half, there was nothing between the two teams who fought for every ball in front of them. During the second half. Shamrocks put in an impressive 3-5 to put the game out of the reach of Naas.
Final score, 5-10 to 2-1. Fulltime scores came from Rory Aylward (Kilcullen) , Harry O' Sullivan (Athgarvan), Dermott McGreevy (Athgarvan), Ronan Malone (Athgarvan) and Tadgh Giblin (Two Mile House).
Well done to players, management and supporters for cheering the boys on this morning and wish Naas every success in their future games.
The next game is in two weeks time against Round Towers GAA (away).
