This Saturday (12th) see South Kildare Shamrocks U12 team participate in their first County Hurling Final.

When the league started back in June/July, it was hard to see how this newly formed team would fair in their first year. but as the weeks and months passed, the team made up of three clubs; Athgarvan GAA & LGFA, Kilcullen GAA and Two Mile House GAA grew in confidence and strength cumulating to a well deserved hurling final.

Their opponents on Saturday are Athy GAA. This will be Shamrock's third time meeting Athy this year having won earlier in the year at the grading blitz and lost their league game to them. Both teams have strong and skilled players and so it will make for an interesting final as they both compete for the prize of U12 County Champions and promotion to Division 2 in 2023.
